BOGART CUP: CANADIANS TAKE SERIES LEAD WITH 5-3 WIN

The Carleton Place Canadians picked up the victory and took a 2-1 series lead against the Pembroke Lumber Kings Thursday night in Carleton Place.

The Canadians got all their meaningful scoring done in the 1st period as they powered 4 goals into the Pembroke net.  Vinny Post led all players with 1 goal and 3 assists, while Stephen Baylis, Ryker Killins, Connor Merkley, and David Eccles also scored.  Guillaume Therien turned aside 23 shots for his 9th win of the playoffs.

Alexandre Boivin scored his 5th and 6th goals of the postseason and added an assist for the Lumber Kings as he now has 7 points in his last 2 games (2g, 5a).  Jesse Blais also scored while Jordan Piccolino finished with 26 saves while surrendering 4 goals for the loss.

Game 4 goes Friday April 17 at the Pembroke Memorial Center at 7:30pm.
