BOGART CUP: LUMBER KINGS SQUARE THINGS UP

After dropping a 5-2 decision in Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon, the Pembroke Lumber Kings got right back in the series Monday night as they pulled out a 6-4 win on home ice to tie the Bogart Cup Championship series 1-1.

Alexandre Boivin was in a generous mood for Pembroke as he posted 4 assists, while Stephen Cooney (2 goals), Brett Horn (1 goal), Anthony Nellis (1 goal), Jesse Blais (1 goal), and Cameron Hughes (1 goal) were the goal scorers on the night.  Goaltender Jordan Piccolino made several huge saves in crucial moments of the game and finished with 27 saves for his 9th victory of the postseason.

Carleton Place received 2 goals from Ryker Killins, while Andrew Dodson and Andy Sturtz also scored.  Guillaume Therien finished with 24 saves as he was handed just his 2nd loss of the playoff season.

Game 3 goes Thursday April 16 in Carleton Place at 7:30pm.
