Rams Advance to Conference Finals

After facing elimination twice in the Valley Semi Finals against the Arnprior Packers before advancing, the Stittsville Rams faced the Regular Season Champion Renfrew Timberwolves and took the series in four straight games.  After a couple of one goal victories in Game 1 and Game 2, Stittsville headed home and would be unstoppable rolling over the Timberwolves in Game 3 and Game 4.  The Rams would outscore Renfrew 18-10 in the series and will now wait for the winner of the Metro Finals where Ottawa West and Gatineau are tied 2-2 in their series.

Carter On Fire

16-year-old rookie standout Cole Carter has taken his game to a whole-other level in this playoff season as his 14 points in 11 games leads all Rams players.  After being held scoreless in Game 1, Carter would finish by scoring 3 goals and 3 assists in the final 3 games of the series to help the Rams advance.  The Orleans, Ontario native finished the regular season first in rookie scoring with 27 goals and 63 points in 36 games.

Ottawa West & Gatineau Game 5 Tonight

So far in their series, things have gone back-and-forth as neither team has been able to get rolling.  Gatineau took Game 1 before Ottawa West would take Game 2, Gatineau would take Game 3, before yet again Ottawa West would get the victory in Game 4.  The series is all squared up and Game 5 is tonight at 7:15pm live from the Barbara Ann Scott Arena in Ottawa.  The winner of the series will take on the Stittsville Rams for the Dwaine Barkley Trophy.
