EOJHL CHAMPIONSHIP: RAMS STAY ALIVE WITH GAME 5 WIN

A huge third period kept the Stittsville Rams league championship hopes alive as they defeated the Casselman Vikings 7-4 Friday night on the road.  The Rams, who now trail the best-of-seven series 3-2 exploded for five goals in the third frame as they handed Casselman just their third home loss of the postseason.

Matt Allan led the way for the Rams with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Troy Hass, Shane Hiley, Jordan Boutillier, and Talmadge Farnes also potted goals.  Goaltender Connor Ellis, who made his 2nd start of the playoffs for Stittsville finished with 28 saves for the victory.

Casselman received goals from David Shean who finished with a pair, while Ethan Wensink, and Jeremie Lefebvre had singles.  Goaltender Gianmarco De Meis had a less than spectacular outing as he surrendered 7 goals while making 30 saves in the loss.

Game 6 goes back in Stittsville this Sunday night at 7:30pm live at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex.
