Rangers Hold On For Victory Over 73’s
In a game where there would be a lengthy delay due to a broken hinge on the penalty box door, Gloucester would come out victorious over Kemptville. The 73’s were able to make it close late but the Rangers were able to add an empty net goal to take a 1-0 series lead with a 5-3 victory. Gloucester was led by Joey Fallon who put up 2 goals and 2 assists while Jaren Burke, Max Veronneau, and Dorian Dawson also scored. Goaltender Doug Johnston made 34 saves in the victory.
On the 73’s side, Justin Haasbeek, Matt Tugnutt, and Tyson Kirkby were the goal scorers while Jacob Tugnutt stopped 18 of 19 shots after relieving goaltender Nicholas Hodgins who was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 17 shots. Game 2 is Monday night in Kemptville at 7:30pm.
