ROAD TO THE BOGART CUP: LUMBER KINGS TAKE 2-1 SERIES LEAD

Jordan Piccolino was solid for the second straight game and Felix Chamberland was the hero as the Pembroke Lumber Kings topped the Ottawa Jr Senators 3-2 in overtime.  Piccolino stopped 23 of 24 shots picking up his 6th victory of the postseason as he has allowed just 5 goals through 3 games during the series, 4 of which came in Game 1.  Owen McDade had the other Pembroke tally while Stephen Cooney chipped in with 2 assists.

Alexander Savard-Belanger made 18 saves on 19 shots before a break-away collision with a hauled down Pembroke player forced him out of the game.  Ian Andriano made the relief appearance and played well turning aside all 13 shots he faced before Chamberland beat him with the 14th.  16-year-old Greg Meireles had the lone marker for the Jr Sens as he skated in his 1st career postseason game.

Game 4  goes Thursday night at the Pembroke Memorial Center at 7:30pm.
