Colts Tie Up Series With Canadians

After dropping the past two games, the Cornwall Colts got back on track Thursday night picking up a 4-2 victory over Carleton Place, tying their best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Cameron Roth got the go ahead goal with 3:02 remaining while Peter Angelopoulos scored twice and captain Marly Quince had 1 goal and 2 assists.  Goaltender Denny Dubblestyne was an absolute rock between the pipes stopping 36 of 38 shots for his 4th victory of the playoffs.

Stephen Baylis and Owen Stewart had the Carleton Place markers while Guillaume Therien made 17 saves in the loss.

Game 5 goes Saturday April 4th in Carleton Place at 7:30pm.

Lumber Kings Win In OT, Take 3-1 Series Lead

Anthony Nellis took a pass from Felix Chamberland and notched the winning goal 3:42 into overtime as the Pembroke Lumber Kings defeated Ottawa 4-3 and took a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Nellis would finish the game with 1 goal and 3 assists, Chamberland, Stephan Beauvais, and Adam Beveridge also scored, while Alexandre Boivin notched 3 assists in the game for the Lumber Kings.  Jordan Piccolino earned his 7th victory of the postseason by making 18 saves on 21 shots.

Robert Michel, Bruno Chef, and Joey Champigny scored for Ottawa, Carl Faucher added 2 helpers, while Ian Andriano stopped 32 of 36 shots in the losing effort.

Game 5 takes place Saturday April 4th in at the Jim Durrell Complex in Ottawa at 7:30pm.
