Rangers Biard Commits To NCAA Wentworth

After an impressive 4-year career in the CCHL between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and most recently the Gloucester Rangers, 19-year-old Liam Biard has committed to Wentworth Institute of Technology where he will suit up for the Leopards next season.  The two-way forward had 10 goals and 19 points in 45 games between the Lumber Kings and Rangers this season.  He is the second CCHL skater to commit to WIT this season as he joins Brockville Braves graduating forward Ethan Weiss.

Minor Hockey

Biard, who was born in Brantford, Ontario but grew up in Flower Mound, Texas was a product of the storied Shattuck St. Marys hockey program in Faribault, Minnesota before making the jump to the CCHL in 2011.

CCHL Career

In 4 seasons of action, combining regular season and playoffs, the 6-0, 190 winger posted 39 goals and 100 points in 208 games played.  His best season was during the 2011-12 campaign when he scored 11 goals and 35 points in 56 games, finishing 3rd overall in Pembroke scoring before adding another 7 points in 12 playoff games.  After three and a half seasons with the Lumber Kings, he would be dealt to Gloucester this past November and finish his career with the Rangers.
