Here is some info on how their semi-final match-ups worked out.

(1) Ottawa West defeats (4) Metcalfe in 4 games

The Metro Division Regular season champion Ottawa West Golden Knights made quick work of fourth place Metcalfe taking them down in four straight.  It was the Matt Connolly show as the 19-year old center had 7 goals in just 4 games while adding 3 assists.  The Nepean native had just 12 goals in 39 regular season games, obviously saving his best for the postseason.  17-year old Golden Knights goaltender Charlie Jensen was remarkable stopping 123 of 131 shots he faced helping his club get the sweep.  It was a bitter sweet end for Metcalfe as they made the postseason for the first time since the 2011-12 season only to be swept.

(2) Gatineau defeats (3) Clarence in 4 games

Vincent Proulx continued his hot play as he would put up 10 points in 4 games to help the Mustangs sweep the rival Clarence Beavers.  Proulx, who is in his final season of EOJHL action, led Gatineau in Regular Season scoring with 37 goals and 86 points in 38 games and was unstoppable in their first round playoff series.  When three out of four games are decided by just one goal, it helps to have a top player be a difference maker.
