ROAD TO THE BOGART CUP: LUMBER KINGS OFF TO FINALS

The Pembroke Lumber Kings punched their ticket to the CCHL Finals on Tuesday night as they knocked out the Ottawa Jr Senators with a 3-2 victory in the 7th and deciding game.  With the win, the CCHL Finals will have the Lumber Kings square off against the #1 ranked Carleton Place Canadians.

With just 55 seconds left on the clock, Felix Chamberland would again show just how highly skilled he is as he would dish a beautiful pass to a wide open Alexandre Boivin who would fire the go ahead marker past Ottawa’s Ian Andriano.  Chamberland would finish the game with 1 goal and 2 assists, Boivin and Fraser Turner chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist each while Jordan Piccolino finished with 19 saves for his 8th victory of the playoffs.

Ottawa received goals from Shawn Lynch and Jimmy Pearson while Ian Andriano finished with 21 saves in the loss which ended the Jr Senators season.

The CCHL Finals schedule will be posted as soon as it is announced.
