Just one day after the Carleton Place Canadians announced that forward Bryce Van Horn had committed to Colorado College, it has now been announced that Maxime St-Pierre will join him.
The 6-2, 220 lb St-Pierre has posted 10 goals and 36 points in 52 games this season while handling the majority of the teams defensive assigments against opposing top players. Known as a defensive forward with elite penalty killing ability who plays a physical game, the Orleans, Ontario native can play a 200 foot game and make a difference on both sides of the puck. He was an absolute force in last years RBC Cup where he was matched up against the top Junior A players in the country. Aside from that he has also represented Canada East in the past two World Junior A Championships.
In 181 total CCHL games, St-Pierre has 34 goals and 93 points in games with both the Canadians as well as Cumberland Grads.
As a 16-year old he suited up for the Casselman Vikings (CCHL2) where he had 12 goals and 27 points in 54 games.
