The Casselman Vikings were far from shy in the scoring department in Game 1 of the EOJHL Final as they defeated the Stittsville Rams 7-3.
Taylor Widenmaier led the charge with 3 goals and 1 assist, while David Shean, Luc Forget, Maxime Choquette, and Sebastien Plante also added goals. Ethan Wensink also had a productive game picking up 3 assists while goaltender Gianmarco De Meis finished with 22 saves.
Shane Hiley had 2 goals for the Rams, while Mike DiBello had the other. Matt Couvrette did all he could but was beaten 6 times on 39 shots in the loss.
Game 2 goes Saturday April 4 at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex in Stittsville at 7:30pm.
Looks like the game was full of penalties and it did not take long for these two teams to dislike each other and should make for a very interesting game two.
